Garcia’s Hunting Preserve continues to produce quality hunts Jim put the hunt together on one Garcia's Hunting Preserves west Lincoln properties which has been receiving a lot of activity from the local honker population. Our whole hunting party met at 5:15 am at my house on the east side of Lincoln. We consolidated our gear in two vehicles took the lengthy fifteen minute drive to the ranch where two of Jim's guides were waiting. The two guides we had for the day were Dave Jernigan and Steven Hawkinson. Both Dave and Steven are great guys and awesome callers and they truly know their stuff when it comes to setting up for honkers. We had shooting from the start of shoot time until about 10:30 when we called it a day. Most of the birds came from smaller groups of one to four birds with a couple large flocks mixed in to keep things interesting. We ended the day with 5 geese per gunner just one shy of a limit, but given the size of these birds nobody was disappointed. By the end of the hunt Steven's good dog Drake was just about worn out dragging those 14 lb birds back. Attached is couple of pictures for your use. The first picture shows the group which included (from left to right) Dom and Tom Alexander, Chris and Gene Robles and Leland and Aaron Crabtree.
